Luckily, there are many eye drops that are available over-the-counter. A lot of them are great drops, and lot of them I would avoid. The benefits of using preservative free eyes drops are: likely less irritation without a preservative in the drop, can use them with contact lenses, and you can use them more frequently. The 7 dry eye drops mentioned in this video are just a few that I like.

  1. I had PRK 11 days ago and I’m in recovery.

I have only used 3 different ones but the one I really didnt like is Refresh Optive Advanced. It was milky and dried as white crud around my eye and in my lashes.

Refresh Releva bottle was nice but once it was half empty I just coulsnt get anymore to squeeze out so I would only use it on travel.

Systane hydration PF lasted a while because the vials wete bigger but it blurred my vision so nightime its awesome but not sure about daytime.

  2. Neil Diamond is still alive?

  3. With all the recalls on the drops from those stores you mentioned I’m thinking you should do an updated one of these. Thank you if you already have my bad.

  4. Sytane complete very good .

  5. My eye doctor recommended Systane and I have been using for years for my dry eyes.

  6. refresh mega 3 has helped my dry eyes.

  7. Warning Will Robinson.. Avoid anything that contains polysorbates 20, 80 or propylene glycol. All bad for your eyes.

  8. Ive tried so many eye drops….nothing works for me. Its so frustrating and so debilitating. Dry eyes and blaspharitis sucks. I actually think i have occular rosacea as i have suffer with rosacea and sub derm on my face. Its all a big mess.

Hyabak and Thaeloz Duo, sold in Canada and Europe❤ I love them both. And Occunox ointment at night 🎉amazing stuff

  10. I use the Refresh Mega-3 everyday. I add a drop to my saline solution when filling my scleral lenses for added comfort

  11. My optometrist recommended I – Pur Drops (0.18% Viscoadaptive HA) but it’s hard to find. Am wondering if any of the ones mentioned here would work as well?

  12. @curtistinemiller4646 April 18, 2025 at 9:52 pm

I love the Refresh Omega 3 single drops, they moisturize and make your eyes feel soothed.❤

  13. I have tried most of the eye drops that you recommended, well all of it that is available in South Africa and none of these work for me, after 30 minutes my eyes feels scratchy again, the eye drops without preservatives are definitely better than the ones with preservatives.
    Thank you for your recommendations.

  14. Has anyone heard of or used "eelhoe ultra eye therapy "?

  15. thanks for the advice. I bought Systane Complete eye drops and they work so much better than the generic CVS eye drops that I had been using (and suspect had been recalled). They (Systane) costs a little more but they are worth it

  16. I use preservative free single vials and it says not to use when it becomes cloudy. Can anyone tell when is the solution damaged? What does the cloudy thing mean? Does it mean vaporization?

  17. Very informative! Great job. Thank you

  18. Stop eating junk and dry eye will often go away completely. I used to have dry eye; I stopped eating as many carbs and processed food, and it’s gone. The processed food, grains, all the carbs, and the vegetable/seed oils we eat contribute to all sorts of eye disease. Check out Dr. Lisa Weideman. She suggests her clients eat as low carb as possible and no seed oils, and many of them have reversed (or, at least, improved) cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration.

I used some Thera Tears Liquid Gel Nighttime and they are horrible!

The active ingredient is Sodium carboxymethylcellulose and it does not coat my eye at all.

After instillation, the product forms up into little globules that appear in my vision as black dots in strings or clusters.

Further, they are very irritating. I got the individual vials and they contain so much product that it’s impossible to use a single vial completely even treating both eyes.

The first time I used them, I split the vial between both eyes and really drenched my eyes. Being new to individual drop vials, I thought that would be the thing to do.

Horrible mistake! It moved to the back of my eye a made my eyes feel as if there was a foreign body in my eye.

I gently manipulated my eyelids and rolled my eyes until i had expelled most of it.

Thinking that was the cause of the irritation I experienced, I tried the drops again a couple of days later.

I found that even one drop per eye was uncomfortable and left me seeing the black dots again.

I am going to try one of your recommendations and I’ll follow up with my results.

  20. Celuvisc leaves gel crust all over your eyes

  21. My eye doc gave me Thealoz Duo drops. Keep missing my eyes, big waste.

  22. How about the weed smokers dry eye? 😢

  23. @rosestroface4888 April 18, 2025 at 10:04 pm

Thanks for reviewing all these eye drops , i use thera tears its helps i use twice a day ,

  24. Evotears works best for me, but not found everywhere, made in Germany, it only has one ingredient Perfluorohexyloctane and instantly forms a layer over you eyes surface to protect it, but also not useful for everyone.

  25. ‏‪answer 5:15‬‏ I have question plz 😖
In the usa they look different than germany
In germany the look red is it the same ??

  26. Are these good for children under 12?

  27. My eye doctor put me on Systane balance because my dry eyes is caused by MGD. After using that for a couple months I noticed it was making my dry eyes worse so she told me to use any eye drops that are preservative free so I got hydrasense preservative free eye drops. Greetings from Canada !

  28. I really like Optase but my favorite is actually a mixture… I use oasis plus and about a minute later Refresh – omega 3. I find that oasis is very soothing but the refresh lasts longer. But if I don’t have time for layering Optase gets the job done!

  29. What eye drop do you recommended for person has a pengucular ? Thank you

  30. Thera Tears didn’t make the list. They were the first ones I could use that didn’t sting. I’m curious what it is about them, and I’m thinking I should probably switch. But most importantly, I should use them more often than "only when I’m annoyed at my eyes"

  31. What do you think of Poly Visc eye ointment and Vita Pos ointment ? I’m using those ones at the moment. It has wool fat and parrafin . VitA- POS has Vitamin A in it as well . I Use it at night . I’m in Australia 🇦🇺

  32. My opthalmologist recommended I use Systane complete. I’ve used it for almost a year now, my eyes are still dry and itchy. I began using heated moisture eye compressor to help moisturize my eyes for longer periods of time; it does help. Sometimes, I also use eyelid wipes. I still suffer from the dry eyes.

  33. Theres only one thats got me forever, coconut water.

  34. What can you say about Japan’s Rohto Z eyes drops?

  35. Thera Tears ….have been using this product for years.

  36. HydraSense is the best absolutely no preservatives. System is terrible. .

  37. Wow, thank you so much for all your information! My Eye Dr. said I have dry eyes and told me to get preservative free eye drops so I did and the two brands I tried both irritated my eyes which were not cheap. I then bought Equate brand Dry Eye Relief lubricant drops from Walmart which has a preservative but is very soothing and didn’t irritate for daytime use and also Equate Lubricant Eye Ointment which does not have a preservative for night time use. The night ointment really helps if my eyes are really dry. I also know that a long time ago someone recommended baby shampoo for washing eye makeup off because it doesn’t irritate the eyes and keeps eyelash mites under control. Also, the vitamin Ocuvite is recommended for dry eyes and eye health in general. Thank you for all these recommendations, I’m interested in the ones with castor oil in them because its suppose to penetrate deeper into the cells.

  38. i started having dry eye symptoms (blurred vision) after having LASIK. Never had it before, what type of dry eyes will that be ? i make tears normally.

  39. @laurenwatson7501 April 18, 2025 at 10:21 pm

I absolutely love Systane! A bit pricey but feels marvelous 🤗👁️👁️

  40. Retaine works for me!

  41. one can get only temporary relief from artificial tears or one can also get long term results from artificial tear eye drops?

  42. Ty❤

  43. @amreenshaikh2172 April 18, 2025 at 10:25 pm

    Systane is good or not

  44. Useful video

  45. I recently started using iVizia preservative free and I LOVE IT! It has a super cool bottle with an extra layer that keeps the dropper sterile.

  46. I have Sclera lens. Is there a drop or solution that will help? My eyes always become foggy after an hour or so. thanks

  47. Wat do you think about ivizia

  48. Why do the eye drops I’ve tried work for a couple weeks and then start becoming irritating?

  49. I have used and been happy with the Refresh Digital PF drops for some time. Dry eyes are a huge problem in the Mojave Desert, especially in winter.

After LASIK, my doctor recommended the Systane Complete PF drops. I can’t really compare them to the Refresh drops because it’s a special post-surgery situation. I will say that I’m having a horrible time with blurry vision 7 weeks after the surgery and the only thing that really helps is the steroid drops that I was supposed to stop using 3 weeks ago. The Systane drops only help if I put in 2-3 drops, spaced 5 minutes apart. I might get some of the Refresh Digital drops and see if they do better.

  50. Bion Tears. Everything else is garbage.
